We arrange overseas sea freight through MSC. Sailing schedules, freight rates and cargo acceptance are confirmed for each booking.
We can quote EXW (Ex Works), FOB (Free On Board), CFR (Cost and Freight) or CIF (Cost, Insurance and Freight), as appropriate to the shipment.
Which delivery term suits your order?
EXW: goods are made available at the named collection point. Loading, transport and export formalities are normally the buyer’s responsibility.
FOB: we clear the goods for export and deliver them on board the buyer’s nominated vessel at the named port of shipment.
CFR: includes freight to the named destination port, but not cargo insurance.
CIF: includes freight and cargo insurance to the named destination port. The insurance cover is specified in the quotation.
Under FOB, CFR and CIF, risk transfers when the goods are on board at the port of shipment—not when they arrive. For container or multimodal shipments, FCA, CPT or CIP may be more suitable; we confirm the appropriate Incoterms® 2020 rule and named place or port in your quotation.
